The SHT3x-RTU is basically SHT3x sensor with addition Modbus communication which in combination with SMRTU  is a perfect fit to the condition if you need to install multi sensors to get an average but still with long distance. The extra mesh protection and the the special electronic protection turned it to a reliable and sustainable sensor for your needs and the ID set can be done by modifying a dip switch.
